InstallPad: Download and install your software automatically.
November 2nd, 2006 by Ben Jim
We all have our must-have softwares and we at SphereLabs love our free softwares. One thing about free softwares on the net is the endless supply of updated versions. Now no one likes to check sites, download, launch and click through the installation wizard applications-after-application, version-after-versions. No one. Thus the birth of an innovative Windows-only application called InstallPad. It basically automates downloads and application installation by simply providing the software sites url.
InstallPad’s has it’s own “popular” application default list of downloads. To download and install the items on the list, tick and click the install checked button. InstallPad then heads-off to leech the setup files down from the sites and completes the installation process for each (default settings, mind you), without the need for user intervention.

What if your favorite software isn’t included in Installpad’s “poplular” list? Well you can of course add your own to the InstallPad list by either using the interface or editing the XML file manually. There are other useful options too like set an installation to run silently & check for updates for starters. How to do both is taught here.
Note: Not all application installations support the “silent” operator and some download sites don’t support direct linking.
Download from here. Free & .NET 2.0 runtime required.
